Is all blue jade from Guatemala?

Actually, no. While much of our blue jade collection is Guatemalan, there is absolutely natural blue jadeite jade (fei cui) coming out of Myanmar/Burma as well.

Why is it a greenish blue?

Natural true blue jadeite jade in high qualities is exceptionally rare. Most blue jade on the market is grey-blue, green-blue, or lavender-blue in color.

What does blue jade mean?

Where does blue jade come from?

Both jadeite jade and nephrite jade come in blue colors, but most of Mason-Kay's blue jade collection is jadeite jade. Sources of blue nephrite jade include Washington (USA), California (USA), and Russia. Sources of blue jadeite jade include Japan, Guatemala, and Myanmar/Burma.
